SPF: Do I have to wear it everyday?

Short answer: Yes.

But I’m inside all day!

Doesn’t matter.

But it’s cloudy outside.

Doesn’t matter!

Any dermatologist, doctor or aesthetician will tell you that SPF is your best bet for “aging gracefully,” and of course protects you from the sun’s harmful rays.

I can be empathetic to those who HATE wearing sunscreen, because guess what? I hated it too. I avoided it in my skincare routine for so long because I didn’t like how greasy or heavy or how hard it was to rub in!

I’m also picky with the fact that I avoid most “chemical” sunscreens and stick to a zinc formula. So finding that ideal sunscreen for everyday use can be challenging.

Luckily there are new formulas coming out all the time! If you are into the chemical sunscreens, there are SO many options that feel light on the skin and don’t leave any tints.

If you are a fan of the mineral based sunscreens like me, let me share with you my new FAVORITE sunscreen of the moment.

NATIVE UNSCENTED FACE AND BODY SUNSCREEN

I have been consistently using this for the last few weeks and it's been so amazing! It blends seamlessly into my skin, feels light and not greasy, and is made with ingredients I know and trust. If they are still out of the face sunscreen, no worries! You can totally use the body sunscreen on the face (the only difference is the face option has avocado oil to help it blend better), I’ve used it that way several times with no problem.

As always, listen to your skin! You know what’s best for you. If you buy it and try it and it’s not what you love— return it! Most companies will happily give your money back or at least a store credit.

So start getting into the habit of putting that SPF on EVERYDAY! If it’s a habit, you won’t have an issue with forgetting it on the days you DO go out in the sun :)

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
