Hi, I’m JEn

A Professional Makeup Artist turned Certified Health Coach.

I’ve always had a more integrative and naturalistic approach to health, wellness and beauty. While navigating my way through a global pandemic, I did some soul searching and found that what I really loved about my career as a makeup artist was helping people to feel their best! I took that passion right to school, and received my Health Coach Certification from The Dr. Sears Wellness Institute in the Spring of 2020.

I decided to further combine my love of skincare and health by advancing my education at the Nutritional Aesthetics Alliance to add a Certificate of Nutritional Aesthetics Practitioner. This way I can offer my clients a well rounded health approach from the inside out- or outside in- in some cases :)

As you can tell from the photo, I am someone who LOVES food. I truly get so much joy from cooking, eating, drinking and sharing in this age old ritual of dining with others. While I’ve spent 15 years working on commercial sets as a professional makeup artist, it wasn’t always easy (and sometimes impossible) to adhere to a balanced lifestyle. Jumping from job to job, relying on catering and craft services for my meals left me spent at the end of the long work day- which often resulted in ordering take out. And we ALL know what we order when we are stressed out and exhausted… Let me give you a hint… it’s not a veggie bowl :)

Integrating small changes in my life helped me to balance the hustle and bustle with a more fulfilled sense of purpose, and to just feeling better.

Maybe you’re in the same boat of feeling over-worked or overwhelmed- whatever your situation, this is where I can come in. Let me help you live your fullest, happiest life while feeling your best! I promise it’ll be fun :)

What is a health coach?

A health coach is trained to help someone identify health goals and become a proactive participant in their own self-health management. As a motivator and supportive mentor, a Health Coach considers all areas of a person’s life including lifestyle and behavior, in addition to nutritional choices. — Dr. Sears Wellness Institute

How does it work?

Do you want to get the best skin of your life? Maybe be a bit stronger? Have more energy? Sleep better? Maybe you want to have a better relationship with your body or just get solid, evidence based information about what works.

During our sessions we’ll discuss your current health and skin goals, habits, lifestyle, and diet. From there we can develop an action plan to help you achieve those goals. With accountability and unlimited support throughout the program.

It’s important to note that a Health Coach is not a Nutritionist, Dietician or Doctor. Health Coaches do not diagnose or treat disease. The role of a Health Coach is to make recommendations to improve overall wellness based on the current actions and behaviors of the client. We play a support role in your personal journey to wellness.

My health Approach…

happy Balance

As a Health Coach, my goal is to help you to feel your best while still enjoying all the things you love. It’s about striking that balance where you can feel fulfilled without sacrificing your goals.

I don’t believe in restrictions, fad diets, or obsessively working out!

In order to achieve your health and wellness goals, it’s important to find what works within your lifestyle while still incorporating things that feed your soul. It’s all about slowly integrating small changes to help you build sustainable habits, even at your busiest/most stressed.

I can understand how overwhelming it can be, and I know it’s hard to even know where to begin! That’s where I can help.

Food relationships…

Many of us have a hard relationship with food. What to eat, how to eat and how much to eat is tricky when buzzwords and guilt are guiding us. Toxic diet culture and misleading food claims has further complicated our view of food and our bodies.

During our sessions, we’ll work together to create a healthier relationship with food through research driven information.
